Birthing Class

Dean, Melinda & I went to child birth class this morning. To be honest, I had no idea what the class was going to be like. I was under the impression that they were going to give me a full education on having the baby & what to do after the baby gets here. Not quite.

There were 7 or 8 other couples in the room, and I was the only one with 2 coaches.

To simulate the pain of labor, they had us hold a cup of ice in our palm for 1 minute. This was brilliant! Though it seems simple & easy, holding a ice on your palm actually hurts. After a few tries, I was able to focus on my coach & regulate my breathing. I was totally ready for labor.
